Fricken pissed gas prices gone up again.$3.88

Well, you folks have to collect more in taxes so you can subsidize southern Europe.
We only have to subsidize Quebec now that NewFounLand's found oil and the USA only has to subsidize California. :wink2:

yea we pay for just about everyone who would like some cash. I live in a pretty crappy neighborhood in a Dutch city, so now I can see first hand all the people on government funding hanging out on the streets all day, smoking, drinking and getting into trouble. Welfare is apparently no too horrible to live off of here. On the other hand, people with disabilities are very well taken care of, definitely compared to the US.

Wish I could get fuel in Venezuela. 6 cents a gallon :O

In America we have this big 3 day holliday weekend coming up called Memorial day weekend. So the oil cos know that everyone is going to be hitting the road so what do they do raise gas prices to over $4 a gallon here where I live.Out west in Arizona $3.18 is the average. You think if the would lower gas prices they would get more sales instead of raising it which will keep people from traveling so much. This sucks Im almost on E it will cost close $80 to fill up.Granite its better than living in a country where they sell gas by the liter but its still rediculous.

Here in Mn we just had the highest spike in gas prices since about 2007. If I remember I had spent 4.10/gal then and just last week I waited till it came down some I paid 4.19. Makes me say BAD WORDS. Saw on the news that there were 5 refineries that service our area either on reduced production for repair or shut down for change over. Right before a Major travel time in the mid west area. You can't convince me that there wasn't some collusion involved in their decision to reduce supply at this time for financial goals.

I have been hearing this crap about the refineries shutting down and changing over for months on my local news.I don't buy it,these oils companies have had record profits for the last 2 years in the billions. Its all about greed nothing more and the fact theres no control on price gouging.Obviously our president doesn't give a crap either cause the the big oil co`s have bought into his wallet also. We`re facing the highest gas prices this nation has ever faced and I don't see things changing till his term is up.

Believe me I really don't think that is what really happens but I do think this is what they tell the news outlets in order to appease the public and try to reduce the amount of anger headed their way. I am of the school that believes Big Oil, Big Government, Big Bank, Big Insurance, and most Big to Medium businesses in general would lie thru their teeth for the almighty dollar and to keep their corporate hands in the working poor's pockets. Does this make me a Conspiracy Theorist?

... Does this make me a Conspiracy Theorist?
YES!
But just because you are a Conspiracy Threorist doesn't mean that there aren't people conspiring against you ...

As to your current President, he does not need money from the oil companies to be in favour of high gas prices. He needs them to be as high as possible so people will be fed up and he can get away with taxing them to subsidize windmills.

Now that's its the end of the holiday they lower the prices to $3.75 ish :wtf:.Nope they couldn't have done it on last Thursday or Friday. So now that I coming home from going know where I can fill up Yahoo!

Sounds like someone in the oval office made another mistake. OOPS I forgot Political rantings are forbidden the forum. I cant help but think there is some sort of affair going on between oil refineries. I also think the EPA has more to do with it than we're being told.

Anyone filled up lately and seen the cost of fuel?Yesterday it was $3.90 and I thought about topping off the tank thinking if I wait a day or two the price will go downIts rediculous the prices have sored into recorded highest ever price per gallon $4.15 gallon:yikes::wtf: here in Port Huron. The excuse they are switching over to summer blend gas.I say blastimy this is bullshit if I ever seen it.Refinery shortages ,switching over to summer blend.Middle east tensions between Syria and lebabon and Isreal.Whats fricken next. Why doesnt the government come out and tell the truth."We dont want you driving your 20 year old clumkers anymore and we want you to spend $40k on on a newer more fuel effecient vehicle. This is the travel season well it wont be for alot of people now they are going to stay close to home cause of rediculously high gas prices.Last year I was paying anywhere from $3.40 -$3.65 nd was doing alot of traveling. That wont be the case this year,If gas prices stay where they are I`ll be staying home alot more.

Ours came down a bit the past week. From a high of 4.30 to 3.79 again blameing the spike on maint and conversion to summer blend. BS I say. I remember filling up for just over 10.00 in our 68 Catalina. 24? gal tank nearly empty. That was around 1977 and gas was hovering around $.60 / gal. We'd go for weeks on that gas back & forth to school & work.

Well gas just jumped up to $4.30 a gallon here today,Yesterday $3.88 needless Im pissed off that much more.Somehow I have to come up with the cash to find something cheaper to drive.Dont want to do but Im thinking of selling my truck at 19 mpg hiway and 14 mpg city with these prices I can afford to go anywhere.

Some good news for Michigan motorist at last but we`ll see for how long.Supposedly gas prices are sussposed to continue dropping to a state wide average of $3.40 a gallon.Today gas is $3.50 per gallon.

Reviving an old thread here. After enjoying a few years of cheap petrol looks like prices are going to take a steep increase this similiar to 2013.Gas prices @ $3.10 seems to happen everytime we have a Republican president.

Not sure the rising cost of fuel has as much to do with political parties as much as it has to do with supply demand & the need for oil executives to buy that new plane!! Not to mention that in my opinion ALL the oil companies have been colluding with each other for decades & paying their legal teams richly to cover their tracks.
