79 XS 400 make over. (Slow)

I used an electric jig saw with a hacksaw blade and had tail section and seat bracket and tabs off in about 15 minutes. I used a 4 inch cut off wheel for the rest and they came of in minutes also, Grinding flush the edges with a grinding wheel. It should go pretty quickly with good blades.

Cut off wheel and I only use 50 grit sanding discs with a rubber backing pad for cleanup. I hardly ever use a grinding wheel unless I am doing structural stuff in the shop. If I really want to smooth things out I also have a backing pad that will accept 3M pads.

I see the slow now :laugh2:

whats your inspiration for the build? have any idea on what your after in the end?
Yes and no.. lol yes slow hehe.
R1 forks with rim.
GSF400 swingarm with rim.
XS coffin tank.
Cafe seat with hump.
That's all I have in mind just make it work.

I like to make stuff that people are like what is that!
Like this 1989 Hawk 650.
