Just bought this off a friend. Needs some work - welding and maintenance. Original mechanic on it stripped it completely and so I'm not sure if its street legal yet - no indicators, speedometer, etc..

First thing I noticed was that it had no oil, so maybe taking care of that first would be smart. Is this something my local autozone would have?

Thanks!

Looks like a great start.

I run Rotella T4 in mine and can be found at most auto parts stores. I buy it in gallon form. I tried the motorcycle oil but it costs more and well no issues with the Rotella so far..........

First three letters will tell you what it is. My guess it says 1T6 which is a 1977 xs360 2-D model.

Even better dont see many 360s anymore............

I just found one thats completely stock and well not worth the asking price to me......

Very low number on it. Would have been a awesome find if it was still stock. From what I can remember there was only like 1500 76-77 xs360 bikes sold in the u.s.

Amazon has the Rotella T6 oil that works with our bikes with a 21 dollar rebate if you buy the 3 pack or a 7 dollar rebate if you just buy the 1 gallon unit.

Make sure to select the new packaging

Thank you!

How easy would it be to strip the bike down and have the frame powder-coated? The more I look at the bike the more it needs little things. I’ll take pictures of the things I’ve found.

It is not hard. Just keep components tagged. Take loads of pictures. Take your time...
Buy/copy shop manual, ask questions...

Good to hear! I can't wait to start on this project, just kind of scared..

Yes, I just ordered the bikes manual on ebay and will definitely take my time and be super careful with parts.
