...well, compared to most XS400 guys I feel old.

Anyhoo, by way of introduction, I ride a '79 XS400F which runs pretty close to perfectly. It sat in a barn for 12 years before I resurrected it last year. I use it for occasional commuting and evening and weekend "mental health" rides. I know my way around Mikuni carbs and many other mechanical things so I'll try to lend a hand when I can.

I live in northern Indiana, so the bike is prepped for winter storage. I'm a 39 year old attorney, married for about 18 years and the father of 4, ages 5 to 13. In the past I have wrenched on an rode a few other things, but I built a motorized bicycle that got some good reviews a couple of years ago.

Glad to be here, looking forward to learning a thing or two.

Very nice original! Its refresshing not see al the chop, cut and rebuild once in a while. I'm working on a seca version and plan on some tasteful mods and not molest the design and function too much.

Don't talk about OLD. I'm probably the oldest guy here. My moto "I may grow old, but I refuse to grow up. I bought 8 bikes this year and restored and modified 5. It's just plain fun and in my opinion a noble effort.

Welcome.

39 years old? So was I, 10 years ago! Gotta say, great looking bike, and welcome to the site!

hello houghmade, nice motorised bicycle you made there and the xs is also a tribute to your skills.
