I'm planning on recovering mine, but have never done it before. Can you staple into the plastic pan OK? Any tips on the stapling?

In my experience, you really should spend the $30 for a pneumatic stapler for plastic pans. I've tried hand staplers, and an electric with poor results. I mean lots of following up with a hammer (on every staple), and generally a PITA.

With my cheapo pneumatic stapler they go right in.

I'm going to have to check my favorite Chinese tool store for this. Off to find a 20% coupon.

BTW Jim, the recovered seat looks great.

The seat - I'm going to add some trim bands on the lowert edge - to one secure it better and two as a styling element.

Big news its a roller - Wrong throttle cable came in so I can't drive it around the parking lot, but the clutch worked fine and ran up and owne through the gears just fine. :)

Tires are IRC RS-310 - 90/90-18 F, 110/90-18 R. They came witht the bike brand new. I had to mount the front and the rear needed to be broken down and the rim wire brushed wouldnt not hold air bead leak.

Here's link I know nothing about these tires, but my price was right Free!

Coming to a close - rebuilt the MC and have a front brake now although it feels spongy I'll have to get a SS braded brake line before I hit the highway. The fuel tank seems to be holding water literally with my somewhat crude braze weld and epoxy outside repair. Its quietly soakin in Evaporust getting the inside in good shape before I seal it with Red-Kote. If my throttle cable comes in today I'll take her for a maiden voyage with the lawn mower tank attached. That should get some stares.
