Starting my project

is there a specific part number for a piece of rubber that goes in between the headlight brackets and the forks to keep the whole assembly from bouncing around on the road? i looked myself and at the dealership and it did not show anything on the parts schematics. the bike didnt come with these but im told that theres supposed to be something there?

It may be easier and cheaper to buy new "ears" that hold on your headlight. I think I saw some that fit the xs400 for like $9 on z1enterprises.com

I have a pair of the if you want them I can do $8.50 shipped.

supposed to be like 55 this weekend, and with MLK day off in a week, bike is going back together this weekend, i have all my parts, just need to fit them on, torque em down, adjust my controls, fix the turn signal lights and im ready to ride :bike:

ended up going with drag bars, turned them down so it has a nice sport bike feel to it. im sure my back will thank me later but i wont help but have a huge grin the whole time.

did you go with the new ears? if no, then i have some i believe. i think three it the least. if i dont have the fourth, :'( lol

i dont have the new ears, i was going to go to the hardware store and check out their o-ring/grommet collection to find one that may be a suitable substitute. if u have four let me know
