I have been doing a bit of painting and here is the top and bottom triple painted with VHT engine enamel cast-iron colour.

After seeing all your garages with peg boards etc, I thought I would show you my professional workshop setup. :bike:

Awwwww crap! I honed the pistons today and I just realised that I didn't look for "tell" marks on the barrels and pistons to work out which is the right and left piston before i honed them.

PC like my "workshop" but its a driveway.

Oh for good weather.

indoors now as its a typical British bank holiday I.E. raining!

Yeah, I know what you mean about rain. This summer is officially the 3rd wettest in history with local flash flooding. Thanks to all the rain my registration has expired over 3 months ago so I will have to get the XS inspected and I will have to put the 250 barrels back on.

Lol thats what happened to me, just do as the wise drewpy suggested when it happened to me. Gap the rings and fit them on the side where they are closest to spec. Cant wait to see your bike running with the 400 jugs!

Because you are still running the 250 gearbox and crank etc, does that mean top speed will be the same as before but it will have a hell of a lot more grunt accelerating?

Hi Greasey, top speed will be the same but this is a city bike and what I am looking for is more traffic light fun that is why I got a 39 tooth rear sprocket. There are 6 gears so I may as well use 'em.

I need a bit of help here. I can't remember removing the collar that fits between the crankcase and the barrels and can't find it either.

collar (1l9) OEM Number: 90387-16547
O-ring (1l9) OEM Number: 93210-18322

It looks like that is where oil is pumped to the top end and kind of important. I am installing the 250cc barrels for inspection then will swap the 400cc barrels, gasket, etc. My 400cc conversion copper 2mm cylinder base gasket will probably mean I will have to make a longer collar anyway so my question is, should I replace the collar for the inspection or should it be ok for 30km of riding to and from the inspection?

Here is a pic of where it should go.

Thanks guys.

I would, top end oil starvation will be pretty terminal to the motor

If you need one I have a brand new one here you can have. I acidently reused my old one when I rebuilt my motor and I aint going back in to replace it. (the o'ring I have not the collar itself)
