Left to the Kawa stands my actual Honda CX 500 C with add ons such as a Pichler Uni 4M fairing and Krauser bags and topcase and Harley Davidson catalyst-exhausters. I prefer the CX model over the GL, but I tried to make the CX come close to the luxury and comfort of the GLs SilverWing and GoldWing ;-) Unfortunately, the XS400SE cannot really compete with the CX500C if it comes to longer rides. The XS400 DOHC is a fine solution too, but, frankly, also that one is unable to beat the CX500 - or, will it? Yes, it does! While both bikes come with really good seats that make long rides comfortable, the way too small fuel tank of the softchopper allows no outstanding mileage. Other the big fueltank of the 12E. What a difference ;-) And the handling of both the 12E and the 4G5 is somehow easier. No wonder. The CX comes with a minimum weight of 208 Kg, reaches roundabout 240 Kg incl. fairing and topcase/bags. That makes quite a difference... But however, the heavier CX makes longer rides less stressy. The most important thing, is that all them are able to be fun ! :-D
