Nice clean job. I have a similar engine I just purchased on my 78 XS400. What's the best way to clean off rust/corrosion? Thanks for the help.

I used deoxidine rust remover , you can get it at any hardware store. It worked like a dream.
For stubborn oils and grime I’d say prepsol cleaner or green clean, and a lot of elbow grease. If you have company that does vapor blasting. That will make that look amazing after all the cleaning. But it’s fun.
I’m almost done with my project now. And all the hard work is well worth it.
