Hello, new xs400 owner here! She is a 78 that needs some work. I have a slew of parts coming in and I'm not the most mechanically savvy person out there.
Great build! I just purchased a 78 XS400 and am currently stripping the bike down to work on cleaning up the frame, carb, block, etc... from rust and corrosion. As my mind is thinking of different design options, I was curious where your battery is on this bike. Where do you have it hidden? I appreciate your help on this!
I just purchased a 78 xs400 off of my friend Emily who just had a baby and doesn't have time to ride. A steal of a deal and now planning to make it into a cafe racer. Also trying to figure out how to hide the battery. Did you buy a special battery that can go on its side and put it up under the seat?
