i have 2 sets of xs400 coils for sale these are the kind with removable wires on the ends both sets are working and functional, just dont need then one set has plug wires the other set does not im asking 30 a set shipped or 50 for both sets together

well that would explain why my starter is acting up lol i think my clutch unit is toasted i went to start it today and it started to crank and the made a god awful noise and then just spins no cranking

right lol i picked up a brand new set for 16 bucks locally at a shop

so i found the issue this whole time carbs wer not the issue i had a cracked poit that was previously jb welded and wasnt breaking contact so all is good to go now, just need to fine tune the machine and be down the road

so im back at my bike after a little break and i took the carbs off stripped them down all the way and then soaked them in 70 percent rubbing alcohol, then after 5 hours of soaking i used my air compressor to blow all the lines and ports out of it using 120 psi and a few .iittle chunks of gunk...

so i think i found the issue i am running oem 135 jets in the carbs and i was trying to use pod filters and a open exhaust lol so i got a set of jets and do you think a 150 jet is to big

ok i understand the weight thing but those fittings were just a referance i dont plan on actually using cast iron fittings lol i plan on using mandrel bent piping for it nothing as heavy as plumbign fittings, but if done right you can make anything run correct lol just like my buddys gl1000 i...

so i have decied to do the 2-1 intake but cant find a intake pipe and locally cant find any one to weld aluminum so im making it out of cast iron pipe fittings as a preliminary till i find a 2-1 mani i plan on ding something along the lines of this, whats your thoughts

oh ok lol sorry those internals are from the xs750 car5b i pulled my xs400 carbs apart and the needle jet has 3 holes in a row up the side of it in 4 seperate lines around the tube

thats the same exact one i have in the single carb setup

for my xs400 carbs or the single carb setup, cause my single carb setup has that exact one in the single carb but not sure about the others i willpull them aart lateron and double check

I will double check later on but I'm pretty sure that's what mine say and are you referring to the single carb setup or the dual stock setup Posted via Mobile
