Mosly have found Valvoline 20w50 SAE or 10w40 SAE motorcycle oils at my local auto stores that didn't close early. Also have seen others mention the Shell Rotella diesel oils in other threads. I'll keep an eye put for that next time. Thank you

I have an '81 xs400 and have been rider it a bit more and want to do my first oil change. Under the it says to use 20w40. All I can find at my local auto part stores is 20w50. Would it make any kind of difference if it is synthetic motor oil or nor? This is my first motorcycle and just not...

Does anyone know what of repair kit/tool would be best to repair the threading on the block for the spark plugs? On my bike the previous owner cross threading the left side spark plug and I'm to know the proper tool needed for this repair.

Thanks Buddha, I actually have a carb rebuild kit ordered and my link bar is on the bottom side of the carbs. Mostly curious about the brass/copper nipples on top of the boots. Previous bike owner had both of them capped off and my father in law was even asking if they needed to be exposed...

Have any pictures of it on your bike for a reference so I know how it properly goes? I'm just wanting on a rebuild kit for the carbs.
