I bought a non running/non op 80 XS Special II for 100 bucks and the seat was like brand new. I've ripped parts off it for mine numerous times and it's already paid for it self 100x over

a lot of people including myself run them. Bike will be loud but little under a harley :)
you can get them to work with minimal effort...
sounds like the headlight wires in the bucket. I had an issue with my headlight.. sometimes it worked sometimes it didn't. My problem was the fuse box and no matter how hard I hit the bucket wouldn't make it go on.

I say get it. I found a complete parts bike for 100 bucks on craigslist so worst case scenario you can get parts for nearly nothing. There aren't that many moving parts or complicated things. I would say you got a good shot of getting spark as is. Prolly just need to replace the fuse panel (10...
