Has anyone ever converted the XS400 into a dual sport?
I would like to run some bigger DOT/offroad tires and get some more suspension travel out of it.
How would I go about all of this?
6,000 miles. Has an oil leak and the electrical is shorted or something. I was riding it up the street to figure out where it was leaking oil and I lost electrical power completely.
New clutch cable and new brake pads installed two weeks ago.
Done messing with it so it has to go.

I'm selling it for a good deal because I got it for a good deal.
If it doesn't sell by christmas I am fixing that oil leak and putting new tires on it, maybe a new paint job and relisting in the summer for 1,200.
Oh well, I'm sure you'll find another. It's up for $700 firm on craigslist :P
$600 is coincidentally the price I paid for it when I bought it not running with no front brake.

Front brake system rebuilt, carbs rebuilt, new battery.
Has some scratches from falling on the exhaust and the levers.
Has a slow oil leak and older tires.
I do have a parts bike that I am willing to throw into the deal for some extra cash.
