Ok....I thought the regulator rectifier went straight into the stator? Well in that case Im going to have to cut them because I bought the bike in a box of bits and dont have the wiring loom \ harness. I have plenty of wires and connectors to make a basic loom though and Id rather make it brand...

Hi guys, Got a little head scratcher here.....the plugs from voltage Regulator and Regulator Rectifier don't match the stator, is this because they come from different engines? Can I just cut and fix them together with crimps \ solder?

Hi All, I have a XS400 which has been in the garage for a few years, I bought it off ebay and the guy had a whole load of extra parts including 2 spare engines. Is there any way of knowing what year \ model my frame or engines are from? Many Thanks, Matt

Hi Guys, Just picked up a 1978 XS400 2A2. Bought it and a whole load of spares of ebay for £190, which I think was a bit of a bargain! Looking to do a bobber conversion but have a lot of work to get it running and legal first! Is anyone on this forum from the UK? More specifically...
