    Extracting a broken push rod?

Long story short, chain broke and wrecked some stuff. Engine case is cracked at the starter, and the push rod for the clutch snapped. Rest of it is in the engine, I need to replace it obviously (anyone in PDX have one) but first I need to get the old one out. Any ideas how to go about it...

New Master cylinder that will fit straight bars?? xs400 1978

I think the point of cafe racers is the fact you can customize them to your taste. There is no 'best style set up' just your preference. Take a pic of your handle bars, i'm not quite understanding your problem. Are your bars too short horizontally to accommodate the MC?

    1981 XS400 Scramblerized Build, eventually...

Got to say, i'm rather impressed. Most people do projects like this but do it totally wrong, and end up just causing damage to the bike frame in the end (by twisting the frame due to cutting and what not) but you have taken the time and money to do it properly. It looks great.

    Fixing my 'new' 1981 xs400

Right, sorry. Typically on my phone on the forum, so copying and pasting can be finicky. Here you go, there's a few places I've found wiring for $20-$30 http://m.ebay.com/itm/251210540649?_mwBanner=1 http://www.wirebarn.com/ http://www.bcpgarage.com/ Then there's also my local Home...

Okay, thanks. I may use 16 instead of 18 though, found a place where I can buy 11 colors of 16 for like 20$ or something.

I can't 'just look at stock wiring' only source of wiring I've found is drewpys rewire, but he uses a different wire standard. I'm trying to convert the wires he used to awg but haven't messed with wiring in ages. And I've never done vehicle wiring. So I really don't know how a stock vehicle...

Also, anyone who's used AWG wiring, the bike should call for 16 and 14 gauge, right? 14 gauge would be the main power wire (that can reach up to 21 amps or so?) and the 17 gauge would be the standard 11 amp.

Are the connectors used for our bikes a matter of preference? With rewiring my bike soon I would like to know what of kind connectors I should use. I was thinking ring connectors for some things, but how would I hold these together? With a screw and bolt? I was kind of leaning more towards...

    Blinkers acting strange

From what BB360 says it seems like you're putting a big strain on your electricals, which is never good. Likely your wiring isn't rated for the amps of the light you installed, which is your reason for the slow start up of the light and the strange clicking. I advise you get the proper light...

    Replacement Gas tank

From what I've heard, any tank would require some modification. I don't really know to what extent, but I imagine it'll have to do with the size of the tank and such. I can understand your want for a larger tank, I however don't have a need for one.. But I am curious what condition your stock...
