What did you do with your XS today?

It was raining all night and my XS lives outside (no cover, I know it's bad but I don't mind a bit of rust, still looking for a cheap cover) so it was soaked when I took off. First traffic light I was like :yikes: cause I was in a cloud of my own smoke.. Turned out to be the steam coming off my engine of course

made people look, though :)

Just got my front brakes finsihed,Its amazing how well things cooperate so much better at 45*f than 35*f.I also hopefully sealed the leak on my fuel bowl. Its supposed to be crappy tomorrow with rain and snow but nicer on sunday. So hopefully I`ll be able to take the bike out on a test run.

Will it go i don't now all because the carbs won't flow take them out put them in now let the fun begin. hahaha :bike:

Nice shot of the blue groper. The water tempratures freezing down in vic  Although im still using my 4:3 even for the back beaches atm. It will be 5mm soon though and then ill be wearing that heavy crap for months.

Got a brand new $150 tire off an old Honda GL500 for FREE! Fixed my flat and couldn't ride because of a downpour :(

Still, can't complain about a new front tire for free!

I showed mine to a friend who hadn't seen it since last summer when it was in pieces. Then we ran back inside through the freezing rain. Spring sucks this year...

Finally got some time to work on bike.
Changed clutch plates. Replaced ''restricted'' (left) intake boots with proper ones and got some power back :D
Difference, especially in rev mid range is like day and night....

I got mine running!

Hadn't ran since last fall. Since then ive changed gaskets in top end and replaced contact breaker points. Last night we set the gaps on the contact breakers and set the timing. Today I adjusted the valves and kicked it over til it started. Happy moment right there! Excited to have a runnning bike again!

Next up on the to-do list:
change fork oil seals
new brake pads
replace left control assembly(blinker switch broken and only works half the time)

Rather than testing for a leak in the drain screw with the carbs on the bike you should take the bowl off and test it in your hand with a little water:wink2: It would be cheaper than the gas.

Rode the heck of of Frankenbike yesterday. So much my hands were stiff from the throttle when I woke up this morning. Plan to get her licensed today!
