I didnt want to have to start another thread on this but I can find the one I started a while back anyway question on the starter?
A while back I took it out to test it,seem to be working fine.I put back on the bike and hit my starter button I can here the starter but it seems it not making contact on the flywheel or doesnt turn the engine over.Did I put the mfer in wrong or is not getting enough voltage?

I would try just the cover first. You might find the gear just sitting there. When I removed my estart motor the same thing happened to me and I opened up the cover and it was right there along with the chain. I dont think there is enough room for it to fall freely behind the actual alternator but I guess anything is possible.

:thumbsup:Got it not as difficult as I thought and the starter is working better also.Sly was mostly correct, you have take off the cover thats behind the altenator then line up the chain and hold the starter gear while taking the starter and getting it lined to mesh in with the teeth inside of the gear. You have remove about 10 allen head screws then slide the cover back.Make sure you pay attention to where the 2 rubber pieces go at also inside of the cover.
I hope this info helps the next person that has starter trouble.I had so much help from all the responces to this thread I couldnt asorb it all in at once.A big thanks for those that responded and helped:thumbsup:
