My bike is a cafe, and I want to relocate the battery. Anyone have any pics they can post with what they've done? Also, what battery (if smaller). Thanks!

Like Drewpy said, inside the hump behind the seat is probably the most popular for a cafe style bike. Behind the engine, under the seat in a pan (depending on battery size), or even just along the bottom frame rails behind the engine are all places you could try.

I started a thread awhile back, and some of the suggestions given to me might be of interest concerning alternate battery options....

Here's the link....

Hope some of this helps!

this is what I did for mine its made out of an old stop sign and i mounted my voltage reg and rectifier on the back side and the ignition box sets right next to the battery and im planning on cover it all with sheet metal on the side and have ingition switch come out they. mines not a cafa racer but should work for you to. you should post some pics of your project :D

I had a question about battery relocation: if it's relocated to the hump in a cafe racer, is it laid on it's side if it's just a normal-sized battery? Or does the hump have to be tall enough to hold the battery upright?

No a sealed acid battery will not leak. But it still need to be in a vented area. Don't put it in a container that gets hot or no air. Here is what I did with my 80. 1.2ah sealed acid 2k miles on this bike and still works perfect.
