SgS build

Vey shiny carbs! Almost looks like a walnut tumbler polish, and given the size of the carbs, I'll guess you nut blasted them! (Walnut shell)

XsChris is right. Cleaned the hell out of them then hit them good with a wire wheel. Finished up on the buffer. I didn't get real good in all the little nooks but they definitely look better than before.

Guess its only fitting that i put one of our SgS kickers on it. Although not sure about the off white of the rubber against the pure white frame. Might switch it up to one our bear trap kickers with a white cage.

How do you modify the kicker to accept a pedal like that? I like it.

Top secret lol. We have been making them for several years and have a few different styles including bear trap, brass and this rubber white one. They fit any Yamaha Xs and come powder coated in any color you want. I got rid of the website and do all my sales through ebay now.
Thanks for the plug

Gorgeous. I've been looking at a ton of XS400s for inspiration for my new bike and this is straight up my favourite so far. Excited to see it done.

Guess what no new updates, Been swamped with paying work but its time to wrap this bike up. Pulled off the covers and dusted it off. Got everything ordered up to finish it. Really its just a ton of odds and ends but we should be rolling again now. Cant really complain about having to much work to have time to work on your own bike.

First I saw this build. Very impressed with the work. Which fork gaiters are those? I would like to get a set that fits that well.

Guess is proves why my shop is called Slacker garage shop, havent worked on this bike in almost a year but pulled it back out to hopefully wrap up. Working on the wiring right now. Here is where it sits today.
