Are they abosolutely neccasary for maintaining your battery over winter storage?I have kept mine at room temp approximately 65* all winter so far and it seems to hold the proper voltage.

I use one of these deals. I rotate batteries (I have 6 of them) every ten days or so because I have so many to to keep up and having a unit for each one would cost a lot.

Yes, they're helpful, the battery is the last thing you wanna deal with at the end of a long winter.

Add seafoam to tank, fill tank. Yes, fill it up. As long as there's seafoam, it will be fine later in spring.

Drop the fuel from the bowls. Screws on bottom of carbs.

At that point I'd consder removing/cleaning/bagging the carbs, but I'm OCD.

If it's charged when you put it to bed and leave it on a tender, it will be able to start
right up in spring.

Regards

Drew

Right now the best I can do is keep it charged,I cant afford to buy a tender at the moment.
I have my 5 year old Jimmy project going to shop and Im not sure how much its going to cost me.
Then the bike is going to the shop unless a miracle happens this spring and the electrical issue fixes itself:laugh:

Well the other options we haven't had problems with, is, (kept in house) if that fails, you can automatically upgrade to AGM next year, provided it fails!!!

I have a battery tender from Amazon, of coarse if $$ wasn't a problem, their was a battery tender for just people like xchris, with 5 to 10 batteries, (Yea if $$ was not an issue)
