My Seca project

It occurred to me that I put the forks back on and tightened them before putting the wheel back on. So I loosened the forks and adjusted them today, I'll go for a ride tomorrow and see if that made a difference.

Played around with front end, everything seems fine there. Went for another ride, now I'm not so sure the vibration isn't coming from the rear. I can feel it in the seat. I adjusted the back tire as well. I'm just sure it wasn't there before the fork job.

Managed to eliminate the vibration I was feeling, must have been in the back end. It went away after I replaced the chain. The old one was stretched to it's limit.

I've noticed that when the bike is cold, it seems kinda boggy until I hit 4500 RPM, then it just takes off. It gets better as the bike warms up, but today it didn't seem to go away. Now it is very cool today, 5C or 41F, so maybe it didn't ever get warm enough. Is this a jetting issue? I am running stock sizes. The bike has the stock airbox, but it is a 2 -1 exhaust.

Sounds like you are running slightly lean on the pilot screws and/or the pilot jets. This could be incorrect settings/jets or dirty carbs. I'm assuming you weren't running at WOT, which is what you need to do to check jetting.

So I've enjoyed wrenching on this bike, but I enjoy riding more. Today I bought a 2006 Honda Shadow. I will be putting the Seca up for sale in the spring. I learned a ton with this bike and from this forum, but this bike needs more attention then I can give it.
