I had a thought recently. I keep a heavily-weighted flashlight in my car in case I need to defend myself. However, I haven't considered putting something on my bike for that reason.
Just wondering if anybody has strapped something to their bike in case the need arises to defend yourself. What is it, and how did you do it?

Carry a spare chain.I had an off-duty cop laugh at me on my 750 Vulcan when he called me out on it,saying" why are you carrying a chain in your saddlebag when your bike is shaft drive"

Helmet. Armored gloves with carbon fibre knuckle guards. Armored jacket, pants and boots. Multi-tool adds weight to a fist. Quick and reliable bike to ride away on. What else is needed?

bloody hell guys where you live?
It says Hamilton for JARichmond.

So, for anywhere west of Bronte, all he should need to repel bad Hamiltonians is an Argo jersey.

I have an Indiana lifetime license to carry a handgun, but I usually don't.....but sometimes I do. If I do, it's a Smith & Wesson M&P 9c.

You never know.

The most unused and powerfull weapon you can posses needs no liecense to have and is very easy to conceal and totaly leagal is common sense. Know when to get out of a situation before it goes bad. For an incident that can't be avoided i have my Kimber pro carry .45. Keep your witts about you and you should never need the later.

First thought a Thompson 50cal tank mounted with a 150 round banjo. And possibly a 30 mm tail mounted cannon for those tailgators. As for those who dare to attack from your broad side judiciously placed electrical discharge units around your arms & other areas. I figure if they really want it or me it's gonna hurt!!!! BAD!!!!!

Bad things do sometimes happen to good people. I also have a concealed carry permit and I am ALWAYS armed unless the law requires I not be. Such as sporting events an the like. If you do carry a firearm you should practice enough to be proficient with it. Just buying the handgun of your choice and putting it in your pocket will not cut it! The world is becoming more dangerous every day!

Just reading thru some comments & after going thru mine WOW I must have been in a dark place that day!! I don't ride in places that would require such defensive hardware. In fact on these country roads & small town streets the only defensive equipment needed is a good helmet sturdy clothing & a well tuned nimble bike to get you out of danger.
