Hey guys. I am doing some research on tires. This size seems to be obsolete. I currently stand with a 3x18 in the front and a 3.5x18 in the back. Pretty sure they are original.

The half inch difference between the front and back looks drastic. The smallest size I am seeing is 3.25x18 for a front.

I just want to make sure that if I go with a 3.25 in the front and a 3.5 in the back, that the tires wont look like balloons..

Is anyone running these sizes? Im trying to stay with the same tread front and back if that possible.

Thanks

Take a look at my build in the gallery page 4. I'm running 4.00 x 18 front and rear and I personally think they don't look out of place. Here's a pic from the back.

You're right it doesn't look like it's out of place. However, I have chrome spokes so the tires may appear bigger..
Nice bike, what are those air filters?

I've recently just changed the air filters, I've added about a 2" tubes and they are red k&n. I've also made a new battery box and elec tray I will post pics here tomorrow.
Quite happy with my new battery box.

I would go with the 3.75 x18 on the rear and a 3.25 x 18 on the front.

90/90-18 front and 110/90-18 rear is stock. For best handling this is what I would go with.

Very little about my bikes suspension will be original. I'm building this bike for short cruises on the street where speed limits won't be over 45mph. I plan on getting a bronze swingarm bushing and 11" rear shocks. With the front, I will match the drop to keep the bike nice and level. Rear shocks will be somewhat firm. So having bigger tires will be better. I do want the front tire to be smaller so if I get a 3.5 front, I will go at least 4 for the back.

Thanks for the help. I really like how small those filters are Brendon. I'm trying to get the smallest battery I can in order to tuck everything you under the seat and make it minimal in that area of the frame.
