Which Battery?

Hi guys,

I'm putting a new battery on my xs400 and before I buy it off amazon I thought it would be safe to check with you guys as to whether it'll fit in the stock battery cutout on my bike (and is the correct battery in general).

Stock would be 12Ah so you're providing more capacity than needed with that one.

The published dimensions seem to indicate that it's pretty close to the same size as the stock battery.
Should fit and will fit are two different things though.

Have you checked your local bike/battery shops? My local place carries motobatt. You might be able to actually check the fit before buying.

I considered the MB9U a while ago. Just 1Ah less than stock but smaller and lighter.
Wound up going with a 12Ah agm that was a bit bigger than stock and had to modify the battery box slightly.

Also make sure the terminals match up for your bike. You don't want a battery to have the ground where the positive should be.
