thank you! I actually have another plunger so I will just need the rod. After some quick research it appears there is a cable operated and a "knob-pull
" operated choke systems on these bikes. Does anyone know where I can get the non-cable rod? or how to make my own? thanks!
Looks like the choke rod has been cut in half. SOHC xs400's don't use a cable operated rod. In the carb where it goes should also be small bearings with small springs behind them. This keeps the rod lock out for full and half choke.
Thanks for the info, I'm assuming those three indents are for full, half, and closed choke positions? If that's the case I should be able to make my own rod since I can't find a reasonably priced one anywhere...
