Just wondering what some of you guys have paid to have a rear hoop welded?

I have my rear hoop all ready to go. Its all fitted and has pipe slugs. Its a bare frame too.

Guy wants $150 and wants to keep it overnight. Seems fair but also seems like it could be too much.

I know how to weld, Ive done quite a bit of it and I know its a half hour job. What do you guys think? Honest opinions.

That's crazy. Some places will let you rent a small mig welder by the hour or for a weekend. I would try that as long as you know how to do it. There was a place by me a few years ago that did it for $30 a weekend. I have my own now, comes in very handy.

Ok thanks. I feel like the guy would be insulted if i offered him 50 to do it. 50 was what i thought he would say. I didnt think of renting a welder, i dont have a power outlet where i can use the welder though and i would want some scrap metal to freshen up on. Someone recommended a mom and pop shop to me today so im gonna call them.

This came as a surprise to me, but i found 18mm OD pipe that fit perfectly to make slugs.
