So I just got my 81 xs400 a couple weeks ago. Previous owner told me he had taken the blinkers off to pass a safety inspection in Missouri because one of them didn't work. In Missouri blinkers aren't required but if you have them they have to work. I didn't think much of it, I didn't even plan on putting them on. I didn't realize at the time that you have to have blinkers to ride on Fort Leonard Wood. The rear blinkers will be a cinch, but I can't figure out where to put them on the front. I'll add pics of the front

The stock signals mount into the headlight bucket, through the headlight mounts.
The signal bolt (normally hollow with a wire through) is the mounting bolt for the headlight.

Looks like the previous owner put bolts through from the inside of the headlight bucket, with nuts on the outside.
Might be able to take the nuts off and screw it into the signals from the inside of the headlight bucket.
Route the wires around back into the headlight bucket.

Well, the bolts coming out of the headlight are too small to hold the blinkers. The ones for the rear have the hollow bolt though, so I'm just gonna measure that bolt and then see what size I need to get. I'm gonna make sure they'll fit through the headlights first though
