For Sale - Parts 78,80 and 81

do you have any relays/ safety/headlight relays? if so, what would you want for them?

Have a rear master cylinder 78 xs400?

No it was toast but someone bought it anyway......there hard to find and you are better off using a new Brembo unit. there easy to mount and work great. Thats what I did on my 78.

Hey, Spectra!
Well the relays im looking for are the one to the headlight relay,(Relay) and the starter relay,(Safety relay)
(Says the wiring diagram on the 1981)
Each has 4 pins and go under the battery box, have a metal/tin cover crimped on, and are about the size of a 9 volt battery(Maybe a little fatter) heres what the one that i have looks like

I do have 2 that look like that pic but they are gold. Not sure how you test them or if there is a way ?

Thoses are it! there originally gold tin. OEM Style. So,what do you want for them? the other guy wanted 30 bucks, but I thought that was crazy, considering i can go down to auto zone and get them for 6.00 bucks apiece, for newer and better ones that are NOT OEM, but will last 4 times as long. I just dont want to change my OEM connectors to make them fit. Trying to keep my bike original, Unless the cost forces me to.
Sincerely, skintech

Others have tried many types and auto relays in the past without much success. These are quite specific to the application. Even swapping them with other yamaha or other bike relays will not work as they are intended. If your not going for a factory resto on the bike I would try a aftermarket type and not worry about oem style as those are not easy to find working or for cheap. I have seen a few oem on ebay but they go for $20-75 each new and used.
