Glad to be on a site where people actually try to help! My names Kevin and I'm from NJ .This is my first non street bike. Picked it up for $500. Harness is cut an all jacked up. Missing coil. An who knows what else. Though I was given the book for it! It does crank...when touched with wires from solenoid. So that makes me happy. I guess I should start by buying a new harness an 2 new coils. I'll post what I got an maybe get some information on what else I may be missing!!

Welcome.

Looks like youre missing quite a bit, but luckily you can still find what you need. These bikes are fairly simple though so once you get another harness, things should start making sense.

Read that book, and check the classifieds here and start buying.

On coils, I get the universal ones you might see on Dime City. They are cheap aftermarket, but they work well. The original coils are fine, but the leads are not removable like the aftermarket ones. I keep my originals as backups and have a couple spares. Havent had one fail.

Thanks! I'm excited. I just picked up a $300 runner tonight. 80xs400
