Charging Issues SOLVED! Fixing a dead voltage regulator, or dead charging system.

Should work. I actually bought an esr350 and when the regulator portion went out I just got the r292 and put it back in, wired same way as I said. Someone else might be able to chime in but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. 20 v is to much. When my esr350 went out on the regulator I saw 38v at battery at 5500 rpms or so and fried stuff. Put the new one in and new parts that fried and haven’t had an issue.

Sweet. Thanks man. Yeah I've fried one battery, I've got two combo reg/rec units and the OEM and nothing gets the volts down low enough, so I'm gonna buy the r292 and hope. Thanks again.

Yeah sure thing. Hope it fixes your issue. Even when I hooked my combo unit up right originally it still charged at like 18 v so that’s how I took care of it.

Oh word. Yeah dude I went to O'Reilly to pick it up and I didn't realize how big gigantic it was but I still would have bought it but then I came to find that they don't sell it with the pigtail. Probably just have to try Advance Auto Parts or something

Yeah I don’t like how big it is but it works so that’s what counts. I just cut the plug and soldered the wires right in. Don’t know if a pigtail.
