Hi, I recently bought a 1981 4T4 for my Yamaha-collection. Reading through the threads about the 4T4, I conclude it must be a Canadian-type (imported in Holland in 1990). It looks quite original apart from the 2into1 exhaust and plastic fender, but it hasn't got a side stand and it does not look to have been cut off. Can't find any pics of this particular type so is this how it was supposed to be (or has sombody done a good job with the torch.....)?

I'm sure it would have had a side stand. Curiously, years ago I had an '82 that had the side stand bracket break away from the frame. I recently bought a project to fix, and noticed the side stand bracket has a weld repair. Maybe it's a common issue.
