I recognize that this thread is old, but has anyone found a place that does work on these bikes in the Chicagoland area? I'm really struggling with tuning and think a general check up would be smart as well.

Hi new guy here with an ‘80 XS400 special. Curious if anyone can point me to a reasonably priced mechanic in the chicagoland area as well for a motor rebuild.
im no hipster but i ditched sport bikes and am not a mechanic. I fell in love with what these bikes can look like after a build but have no idea where to start...
