Well seeing what comes out there shop I am sure it works :laugh2: but I do know that is available elsewhere also. I saw it listed on a few sites. I am going to run it and see how it works on my new build. It ran once so hopefully it works...........and I agree 50 is a lot better than 100......good luck and keep us posted on what happens.
 
Rusnak, yes it works. I had to ground one side of the field coil and cut the plug off the old rectifier to make it work. The new unit had the wrong end( male or female, can't remember which). So far it's charging. I not sure which of my old parts was bad since the new piece is a combo, but I guess it doesn't matter. Good luck
 
Any update on this? It’s 2020 now and I’m quite curious to see how long it lasted or if it’s still going. I know my esr350 was a $100 unit and the regulator portion lasted like 100 miles which ticked me off. Would like to know if a good quality combo unit that actually lasts.
 
Been a few years now, still charges,even the same battery. I don't have a great deal of miles on the unit , only a few hundred.
