Hey there ,

Does anyone have the thickness of the swing arm shins. Labelled 4 in the parts diagram .
I fitted it without them and there’s the smallest bit of play . I searched through and could only find Chris saying they’re “paper thin”. I might need to find replacements. I have some that are .5 but they don’t seem to have enough material for me to trust them .

Those are not the correct ones anyway. Did your replace the bushings and swingarm tube with new ones? Also did you torque the bolt to 45-47lbs like it needs to be?

I took it apart for cleaning and inspection and to paint the frame. The bushings look good so I'm just going to resuse them. I must have lost track of where the shims went I'll look but i don't remember seeing a shim that was as wide as the parts on the cmsnl list.

Most never need shims. If you don’t know how old the ones you have are it’s a good idea to replace them. Going to bronze bushings is a good upgrade for handling.
