What did you do with your XS today?

well the old girl is running took her for a spin and works good
the flexseal spray on the carb boots work for now going to order some new ones soon
but for now its working
idle still high around 1500 rpm or is that normal ?
but im happy got to ride a little and im back on a bike for the first time in around 16 yrs after my almost fatal accident

happy rideing ppl be safe out there :bike:

1500 RPM is pretty normal, but 1250 is what the manual says it should be set to. I prefer to stick to a little higher of an idle because I'm still getting used to the friction point.
Welcome back to the "I ride a motorcycle" club! Glad to have you with us :)

Done tons recently!

Rode it, dropped it twice. Once on each side. Snapped off a mirror, and rode home with an askew headlight. Still a super fun ride. No harm done really. Mirror threads back in if I take out the snapped piece.

I should have posted this yesterday but took her for a nice 60 mile ride. Stopped at a couple bars and had lunch and a few mountain dews. Was the first time I had the bike on the highway and in traffic. I really enjoyed the ride except for the damn wind. Holy cow, we had gusts up to 40mph. Was a little crazy. Made it there and back safe and learned how to handle the bike in the wind. All in all a great day with great scenery and a lesson learned.

Changed the oil, changed the fork oil, adjusted the clutch, adjusted the rearset shifter linkage. Sent my son on a ride and then took a ride myself. Man .... does the front suspension feel so much better!

Either you are not still on Pacific Time or you are an early riser. :bed:
Glad to hear it's all fixed up - has your shoulder all healed too?

HAHA actually happened yesterday,
shoulder is much better, still not 100% but that is probably due to playing softball before it was healed.... they needed me.

And they appreciated your sacrifice - luckily they managed to capture your big moment too:

I am currently working on fitting suzuki gs500 blinkers; I need something with better visibility and I had them already.

Rode all the way to downtown Georgetown via the Forks, Terra Cotta & Glen Williams. A new record for me. Actually ran an errand there - a first for me (with the bike).
Didn't see frwinks though as it was after lunch.

I look at it as I pulled my road legal CB750 into the shed after returning home from work..She will have tags soon

Have got my lil Yammy up on base as a run around, its perfect for it (except the oil consumption - which I will be needing to fix at some point). Anyways, with the weather being so nice I went out around the hills and Loch Long yesterday, grabbed a fish and chip supper and generally enjoyed the funshine :D

The lil bastid midges were not so fun... especially with an open face lid lol and felt like I was being hit by a bug-gatling gun lol, needed to dust my beard off each time I stopped lol :D
