well first I'd measure the outer diameter of the carb where it attaches to the carb mounts. Then I'd measure the inner diameter, I'm gonna guess they will be 28 mm, which might be to small? Help me out guys, i don't know enough to give awesome advice....

Ok, the reason that i ask is that when i looked around the net about mikuni 34s, they are used in bigger engines too, so my first thougt was that a smaler carb could work, and the 28mm is very cheap and easy to get here.
The next carb size thats very comon is the 38mm, but that i think is too big.
Im not a carb wiz so i hoped some one that is could answer. =)

28mm will give you better low end power as the airflow will be faster due to the smaller opening.

just need to match the carb to the intakes, so would check that first

ok, intersting.
What´s to prefer on this engine?
Does all high end power flat out, if you compare to the original carbs?
Not that´s a rocket with the original carbs either.
My did 130km/h when i tested top speed, the rpm was lightyears from red.
I have found one 34mm, so if that carbs is to prefer i will look for one more.
