    Chopper build - intro

As mentioned 4 of us ran it over 100 mph. Top speed was 104.733 on VP109E. Handling wise was great. If anything it was boring to ride. Shift at 10k and wait for the traps. It might have a bit more in it if I really wanted to get into it. I was just happy with speeds over 100 on it

    Chopper build - intro

Long time no update. I finished the bike last summer and never rode it much. It wouldnt charge. Swapped stator, reg/rec and no change. Just random charging. Some days it would, others it wouldnt. So over the winter I did a PMA set up using a banshee stator. All was good then. Changed wheels to...

    Chopper build - intro

If you look closely in this picture you can see it. It is a piece of 1" DOM, .125 wall that runs from the front of the frame (where the two tubes hooked) straight back. Look at the top motor mount and you can see it. The bike is actually done, I should take some pictures of it to post.

Its slugged, and then you weld in the brace to hold the top motor mount. If it bends there I have bigger things to worry about, like if they cremated me or not

    small battery for button start

No, as previously mentioned I do not have a upgraded reg/rec combo, thus I don't want to ruin the battery with the fluxuations in the charging system. What I have used them on Ironhead chopper kick only- Ballistic Ironhead chopper e start- Antigravity RC 51 street/LSR bike - Shorai GSXR drag...

    small battery for button start

I have used Antigravity and Ballisitic. I prefer the Shorai. Not that any of them really were bad, I just like the Shorai.

    small battery for button start

I run that same exact battery in a couple race bikes, a RC51 and a GSXR 1000 drag bike. Starts both with ease, more than enough battery for the XS..... however.... With the charging systems on these bikes not being constant it could damage the battery. I was going to run one on my new...

Tank is mounted, coils are mounted along with the fender, seat and sissy bar. Still might do a little more to the sissy bar as I am not overly excited about its outcome. Playing the waiting game on parts now.
