My voltage on the battery now drops with the R292 :(

@BBS360 I'm getting a bit confused as it sounds like only '80+ had a solid regulator but my '79 has it. The R292 has 4 wires but my stock solid only has 3 like the VR125. I'm so confused.

Piggy backing on this thread, but what is the correct replacement regulator for this? My '79 has this same reg and I think it's dead. VR125? VR291/R292? other?

Where would I find this procedure? I don't see anything in the Haynes manual.

Seems like maybe just more of a clutch adjustment issue. Took it all apart again and pieced it back together. Will play with the clutch cable next.

Bumping this back up because FINALLY defrosted from winter and not getting anything with the starter and this wiring. All lights and signals work fine, but nothing out of the starter. Thoughts?

So I opened the side of the engine up so I could check on the clutch plates. Pretty sure I put it back exactly as it came out but the kickstart won’t move any more. Any thoughts to diagnose this?

my bike was have a lot of issues getting in to gear. I tried every adjustment possible on the cable, lever, push pin and nothing seemed to work. It wouldn’t grab until the lever was 95% out and you had to rev the sh*t out of it to get it to go. It sat dry for a couple years so I was wondering...

Ok went back and looked at more wiring diagrams. I noticed I had the brown wire from the reg leading right to the brown wire on the stator but some diagrams had it wired differently. I put the brown stator wire to the bikes ground. I put the brown reg wire up to the power. I’m not seeing any...
