Does that bike have a vacuum petcock? That's what happened when mine failed. Poured gas straight in.

I got a new battery and had a problem very similiar to this . Turned out my charger was bad so my new battery didn't get to full voltage.

Wow, nice score for a freebie! There is so much information on this site. I have found all my questions answered in multiple posts so if something isn't clear keep searching. I am also relatively new, but I have learned if you need a reply, post pictures.

Carbs looked really good so far. Didn't get much past taking them off. I did notice the vacuum line going to the petcock was full of gas. I'm kinda mechanical but not that experienced, that doesn't seem right to me. I could see that being a problem but it's only one cylinder. It's so fast...
