Correct. I've got two SOHC so they were of no use to me.

Whirring Noise After Turning Bike OFF

Are you sure its coming from inside the engine? Does it still make the noise with key off? battery disconnected? if you put your hand on the starter cover, can you feel it vibrating? When you say starter button is missing, is is broken? Could it be grounding out on the bars still?

Whirring Noise After Turning Bike OFF

Sounds like your starter solenoid might be sticking? kinda hard to tell without more info. Your start button grounds through the bars, so if that circuit is grounded then it would be the same as holding your start button.

Wanted - WTB Header pipes in good condition and/or exhaust collars/shims

As the title says, looking for header pipes with minimal rust that can be cleaned up well enough. Can be cut shorter as I'll most likely be modifying them anyway! Also looking for the shims that go between the collar and head to seal the pipes. Thanks!

    Powder coating rear wheel

You'll have to get the bushings and sprocket bolts out which I believe requires destroying them. A few people here have done it successfully though. I tried searching but couldn't find the thread. It pops up often though, I'm sure someone knows where it is!

    Petcock question.

I always remove the petcock when putting anything other than fuel in to be safe. That said, 'ON' will be off as long as the bike isn't running. It needs the vacuum from the engine to open. 'PRIME' however will let the fuel flow openly.

For Sale - Piston rings 82-83

I was shipped the wrong parts when I rebuilt my engine and I recently found them in my parts cabinet. It's a pair of ring sets for an 82-83 DOHC I believe, sealed in their original packaging. Please verify for yourself but everything I've searched shows this. P/N: 26M-11610-40 Would trade for a...
