I put a little atf in er. Waiting to see what that does. I've got valve feeler gauges. I'm thinking that I'll reseat and lap the valves and see what happens
Looks like I'll be having to buy the German ones. I found my compression tester. Piston 1 has barely 100 lbs, piston 2 barely 125. Looks like I finally solved my not starting mystery lol good news is that I have time on my side. I'm picking up my 2015 Royal Enfield classic 500 Desert storm...
Ya, totally pricey. But I've got too much invested in this build now. I'm likely just going to get the german ones. Virtually every other piston is a single or badly scorched lol
It looks like it has the right power requirements. I'm using the regular yt12c battery with pretty much all the same stored volts (in fact my top stored voltage is 12.9-13.2) I used my kick start all the time, even with the stupid headlamp on lol. I repaired my electric start and always has...

Hey Niro, I'm going through almost the exact same problem right now. I got a stock air box though. One thing that I learned about pod filters is that you should go up about 15 stages from the stock jets. Also one cylinder will be your base cylinder with primary coil. That cylinder is typically...
I used to get that on a CB650 I had. I synced the carbs and replaced the tired old coils. Sometimes it's two or three little things going on at the same time taking you down the rabbit hole. Have you had any recent carb work?
Hey guys, my name is Al and a few years ago I got my hands on an 81 and 78 xs400. The 81 is going to be a scrambler. The 78 is parted out down to the frame. My 81 was running perfectly until last spring. Going to get it on the road this year though
