    Compress the spring, pull the rubber bump stop and dust cover down, put a wrench on what looks like a nut, put a screwdriver through the top mount hole and spin it off.

    Cherry Bombs on a bike!!! Brilliant!!! He should be charging $1200 just for the idea. I'm headin to the parts store now!!! (sarcasm)

    lowering the rear

    I cut about 2" off mine, a lot of guys cut 2 1/2" off. Compress the spring, pull the top dust cover down, put a wrench on the "nut", put a screw driver through the top mount and screw it off. Cut the spring and reassemble.

    Did some looking today, Dennis Kirk appears to be about the cheapest. I didn't go as far as checking shipping rates, j&p was close enough that shipping could make up the difference.
