i would check the mixture screw adjustment. Mine had a similar problem, would run but idle high then stall. mixture screws were 1 3/4 turns out and i adjusted to 3 1/2 turns out then adjusted the idle to 1200 rpm and runs great

If the slots look even slightly worn i like to try and tighten them just slightly first to break them loose so I don't strip them in the direction that I need to remove them.

look for my post in the "another dreaded led turn signal thread" thread. I am using that flasher with no resistors and all signals work fine. You just have to wire one of the flasher terminals to ground. Real simple and cheap. I have pictures there of what i did. hope this helps.

Thaks xsleo, I will definitely try that one next time, cheaper and easier it seems. I needed mine to work that day so I looked at the auto parts store near me and the tridon 34 was what I could find that worked.

You could soak it with diesel, or kerosene, or marvel mystery oil for a few days, remove the plugs and try rolling it with the bike in gear and the clutch squeezed and then pop it. Try a couple times slowly and see if it will budge.

You don't need to move the pins then because they line up correctly with the connector, you would just have to cut the wire in the harness that i didn't use and wire that to ground like you said frwinks. Also, correct no self cancelling.

I was just wondering how many miles have you gotten out of your original motor without the need to rebuild? I'm curious how far they can go. What year and miles please?
