I was at the meeting of oldies. It was nice, sun and fun

Iwas polishing the engine covers. it shines realy nice. Then I dissasembled all electrical connectors and clean them, so I do not have any bug in armature lightning any more. And also I changed all rusted screws with inox screws, so my xs is real beauty now.:D

check the gasoline flow. When there is dirt in tank it happens to me also, but I see the flow over the gasoline filter and it was totaly empty at 6500 rpms. So it was time for me to clean tank and gasoline filter. Then it has enough gasoline and turns good....

I had the same problem.... Left cylinder didn't work at idling and have backfire from left exshaust, also I bought a new battery and it wasn't charged enough... But all troubles were caused because of carbs. At idling battery wasn't charged enough just 11,9 V, because it was to slow,when left...

I came back from vacations, I was at the seaside, took all equipement for camping, tent, sleeping bags and all clothes for me and my wife on my XS... the route was 690 km, fully loaded and passed with no problems. Now I am shure, that everything works well. Later I will add some pics .

It is the only way, because you can not take transmission away like on HD

Hough, sorry, I didn't mean to criticize you, I just wanted to encourage joungsters, to ask anything, even things which are for others selfunderstandable :-)

It is easy to understand, if you know how the gearbox is buited and where the kickstarter is conected on it. So only neutral and do not tuch the clutch... For older bikers like it is clear, but younger should ask... That for is this forum. Anyhow there are no stupid questions, just can get...

You have problem with sprocket on first gear. If theree would be problem with clutch, it would happen in all gears not just in first. Also if it jumps out from gear it is definitely sprocket. Good luck with repairing.

Hi ! If you are using the digital multimeter, just set it on DC position and if it is devided put it on 20 V range. then check if you have more than 12 V between plus of battery and frame, so you know, that ground of battery is OK. After that put one wire of multimeter on frame and with other...
