engine rebuild? where to find parts?

Theres a build thread on here where a guy shoe horned a 650 engine into the 400 frame, but im pretty sure it was alot of work. I think alot of people have thought about engine rebuilds on here but it seems too costly to find pistons/rings or anything oversize. Theres always been talk of using...

will this trugel battery be adequate?

7 amp hour is more than enough, with a kick only you can go pretty small, I've got a small 2.5amp hour and it starts first kick, i think some guys even go down to a 1.2 amp hour. ive got all battery and electrics tucked up under the seat in a small tray so the frame is completely clear. so...

Went through the front end the other day, cut 3cm off the front for springs and added a 3.5cm spacer to the damping rod. Also changed fork seals and fluid. Used 15w and filled the forks 6 inches from the top. Replaced the loose bearings in the headstem with tapered rollers from pyramid parts...

What did you do with your XS today?

Changed the head stem bearings to tapered roller bearings from pyramid parts. Also rebuilt my forks with new seals, cut an inch off the springs, made some 1 1/4 inch spacers for the damping rods and filled with 15w fork fluid 6 inches from the top. The seals were completely blown out before but...

    PWK Carbs

When it comes down to it, any appropriately sized carbs will work just depends how much stuffing around you want to do tuning it obviously. I chose the mikunis because theyre pretty common cheap and plenty of cb guys use them. Flatslides would be cool though

    PWK Carbs

I did a fair bit of searching around for aftermarket carb info for our bikes and there is not much out there. If your stock ones are useable I would keep them. Mine were stuffed and I didnt want to chance a second hand set from overseas. Ended up getting a pair of Vm30 roundslides. Im led to...
