I paid about $185 shipped from an eBay seller. They are 14.4" according to the auction, but I haven't measured. Very excited to put them on!

Hey Chris, which filter and spark plug boot did you use? I ordered a spark plug boot, but I don't think it's going to work.

The shocks were about $185 shipped, which is a bit more than some of the options out there, but I wanted a longer shock without caps or other adornment, and I wanted them to be all black. I got them off eBay. Once the swingarm is painted (maybe today? maybe tomorrow), I'll put the rear end...

Got new shocks (14.4" black no caps), and the fender is chopped, but still needs some refinement. Progress!

Got the rear tire mounted on a significantly cleaned up rim last week. Got the front wheel removed, and the tire is off. The front fender is prepped and ready for cutting/reshaping, and the swing arm is cleaned up and partially prepped for paint (still removing lots of original paint, cut off...

Got a tire machine thing and finally broke the bead on my rear tire... need new tire spoons though. They bend kind of easy.

We got hit here in Ann Arbor. I'm heading out for my last shovel of the day. So much snow!

Last night I removed the swing arm and the cover over the front sprocket. Both nasty and in need of cleaning.

Do you think it's safe to run some jumper cables from a car to the bike's leads to test run it?

Hey guys, I bought some cheap snap ring pliers from Harbor Freight to remove the large circular clip that retains the sprocket on the rear of my 78E. They are way too small! I can't really find anything good online, so I was wondering what you guys use. Any recommendations?

Removed the rear shocks. Realized that the 2-1 muffler is too close to the right side lower shock mount for me to get longer shocks without either replacing the exhaust or modifying it.

Got the rear wheel removed and began to disassemble that. Also came up with a cool idea to mount the seat to the bike... it may involve carbon fiber. :)
