1979 Front Caliper Part Crossover

I broke the bleeder screw on my caliper and can't get it out. I've begun to search on Ebay and was wondering what other Yamaha used this same caliper. Will one from an XS650 work? Or better yet does anyone have one for sale?

I think they are the same, but i think the 650 had two fronts so make sure it's a right side front.

Yamaha says that this caliper (1L9-25810-03-00) fits 76-77 XS360 and 77-79 XS400. And that's it.

You might get another to fit, but that's on you.

I would definitely defer to JPaganels knowledge here. Like you I think they look the same, and I know certain model 650's share the same brake pad part numbers, but better safe than sorry.

Thanks for the info on this. I'll err on the safe side as I live in a remote town where it takes forever to get shipments.
