1980 xs400 special carburator

Good day all.
I am new to this forum .

I recently obtained a 1980 xs400 special .
and planning on turning it into a café racer.

the largest problem I am having is my carb is screwed(excuse the language)
the idle jet In the left one is broken.

So I am looking for another carb ? any one out there have one?

you might get it out if you have access to penetrating spray, a drill press, and a properly sized left handed drill bit. Or are the threads already boogered? You can also check the classifieds on here, maybe one will turn up.

You can try drilling a hole in the jet and tapping a nail or something in there and then you can use pliers to unscrew it. I had to do this before but it requires a steady hand. Its a very risky move.
