Hi everyone!
I have a an 81 xs400 Special in near MINT condition. It's a gorgeous bike. Cherry red with chrome exhaust, swept handlebars, BOTH electric AND kick start! As I'm sure you all know, this is THE bike to have for custom cafe racers, or bobbers. and this one in particular happens to be in great shape. It starts up and runs great, rides even better! I just did the spark plugs, adjusted fuel flow, adjusted the clutch cable inside the engine case so it's nice and tight at the handle adjuster too, cleaned the fuel system/carb, adjusted the idle so it's running perfect, and put in a brand new battery. The bike has been fantastic over the summer. Probably the most fun I've had on any vehicle ever. These motorcycles are just so light that the 400 engine is the perfect size. Me and one other guy can lift it into the bed of a truck, but it accelerates faster than any car I've ever driven. The engineers at Yamaha really did a great job of weight to power ratio on this model.
I'd like to get 1000 for it, but I'm open to offers. I'm also looking for a car for the winter, so if you happen to have a car you don't need anymore and want a bike I'd be happy to work something out.
